How to Get to Vilamoura, Algarve

Vilamoura is the largest luxury tourist complex in Europe, covering around 20 km² of land. It is located in the municipality of Loulé, in the Algarve, Portugal. Vilamoura is located 260 km south of Lisbon and around 25 km of the Faro airport. The best way to get to Vilamoura is to fly to Faro or Lisbon and then rent a car or take a train.

Traveling by train from Lisbon

Take the subway or a taxi from the airport to the “Lisboa-Oriente” railway station (10 min., around 10 €). As the ride from the airport to the train station is very short, it is advisable to take a taxi outside the departure hall, instead of taking it in the arrivals area.

Go to the upper ticketing level at the station and buy a ticket for an “Alfa Pendular” or “InterCidades” train to Faro.
